"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named..." (Ephesians 3:14,15).
Please join us in prayer for the following:
1. The unity of all believers. Jesus prayed that all believers would be one (John 17:21). Division is a blot on the church and a barrier to unbelievers. In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; in all things, love.
2. The evangelization of the world. Jesus wants us one so that we will have a credible and visible witness to the world. The world at its worst needs the church at its best.
3. The worldwide persecuted church. We are to remember those who are in prison as though bound with them (Hebrews 13:3). We honor the request of those who have told Victor: “Pray that our faith will be strong.”
4. POEM's literature outreach. We publish a quarterly magazine, ONE BODY, to help answer Jesus' prayer for Christian unity and world evangelism. (Subscription: $15 annually). We also publish a monthly newsletter, THE KNOWLESLETTER, sent free upon request.
5. The Restoration Forum. We help coordinate this annual three-day unity meeting. Restoration Forum XXV will be held Sept. 4-6, 2007 at Ozark Christian College, Joplin, MO. For more information email Victor Knowles at victor@poeministries.org.
6. Our outreach efforts. POEM networks with fellow ministries in supporting about 40 house churches in Cuba; 32 blind children in India; Jewish outreach in central Europe; literature work in Russia; Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine.
7. Our financial needs. We cannot do what we are doing without your help. POEM is a reader-supported ministry. Prayerfully consider becoming part of the Peace Team here at POEM. Many people send $17.21 a month to help answer Jesus' prayer for Christian unity and world evangelism in John 17:21.
