Recently I have received news of good friends being afflicted with cancer, Parkinsons, and Alzheimers. It hurts me when I learn about these debilitating diseases striking my friends. What can I say? What can I do? One verse of Scripture I usually share with them is Hebrews 6:10. I want them to know that their life has not been in vain. This is what that passage says. "For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have show toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints; and do minister." Those last three words - "and do minister" - hopefully reminds them that they are still important in the Kingdom of God. They still minister to me by their good example of faithfulness to God in the face of adversity. I hope you can share this verse with someone sometime soon.
