Last Sunday I drove by a new church building and they had a big electronic sign out front that everyone passing by could easily read. I saw the words KNOW, GROW, and GO come up on the big board as I whizzed by at 60 mph (it was on an Interstate highway!). That got me to thinking. I added two more and here is what I came up with: Our five-fold responsibility as a Christian.

KNOW -- We must know Christ and His Word (Phil. 3:10; 2 Tim. 1:12).

GROW - We should grow in our faith, knowledge and the grace of Christ (1 Pet. 2:2; 2 Pet. 3:18).

SHOW -- A Christian cannot just talk but must also show that he or she is living the Christian life (Jas. 2:18; Heb. 13:2).

GO -- Jesus' marching orders for the church: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to ever creature (Matt. 28:19, 20; Mark 16:14, 16).

SOW -- Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. Sow the seed of the kingdom wherever you go! (Psa. 126:5; Matt. 13:3).
